A multi-ethnic gal, with family from Laos and Thailand, while being raised in Oakland, California; Deanna Pak has quite a unique upbringing. She first stepped into the arts as a contemporary dancer. She won a dance medal and the Outstanding Female Performance (Acting) award from Skyline Performing Arts Academy. After working in musical theatre, she branched to acting and discovered her calling- storytelling through performing art to touch people's lives.
Pak moved to Santa Barbara, CA to study philosophy and dance. Afterwards, she returned to Northern California to work as a promotional/print model. In San Francisco, she studied at the American Conservatory Theatre (ACT). She also worked on short films, plays, and commercial work.
One day, Pak decided to apply to a pageant for fun. After the first interview, she was selected from thousands of girls to compete in the Miss California USA Pageant, representing North Bay USA. She placed in the top 20% (out of 213+ contestants). Through this platform, Pak built strong business relationships and further opportunities to serve her community, including WOMAN, Inc. (Women Organized to Make Abuse Nonexistent) and Lifting Up Lives (Charity/A Woman's Place Shelter).
After studying at Waterfront Conservatory and ACT, Pak moved to Los Angeles. To date, she has worked on national television, film, commercials, music videos, and more. She made her mainstream debut in music videos on MTV and BET, followed by improvisation-based shows, sketches, recurring television roles and feature films.
Pak starred in her first feature film, Prom Ride (Release: 2015), working alongside Omar Gooding and Hollywood's young stars. Since then, she has worked principal roles in "EVP" and "The Gathering". She will also be featured in "The Smosh Movie" (Lionsgate) and "A Bitter Lime".
Her mother was from Vientiane and her father was from Southern Laos. They spent some time in Thailand before moving the US. She can speak only broken Lao.
