my opinion, don't blame the religious ,every religious teaches people to become better
become a good person,sometimes the believers of a religious understood the teaching of religious in a wrong way. that's because everyone grew up in a different environment and backgrounds.

First , I also taught the way , you said. But I made a research about Islam.
The original pure Islam from the hand written Quran that what the Extremist
taught to hate the infidel that create Jihadist. But the modern Islam try to skip
the Jihadist but failed that is why there are ISIS ideology of Jihad in every Muslim
Some intelligent Muslim who are well educated and understand but some poor people
and low IQ who become a suicide bomber and they told after they blow himself up
and murder none many people , they will go to paradise and meet their 40 virgin.
Today in Islamic country still stone women to death of adultery and women are treat
as a property of man and a second class citizen and not allow to go to school and work
