Investor: Finance available to develop Khammuan's mega project
Finance is ready to develop the US$5 billion Thakhek Ehsan International Financial Centre, with construction set to commence next month in Khammuan province, an investor has said.
The 30-storey financial centre will be developed under the first phase of a US$10 billion project that comprises three phases. The second phase will develop the first ever Disney Laos while the third phase will feature residential and superior lifestyle communities in Thakhek Specific Economic Zone (TSEZ) in the central province.
Mr Somjith Aliyaphaphone, Chairman of the Akane Farm Sole Co Ltd, the biggest shareholder of the mega project, confirmed withVientiane Times yesterday that the company and its five business partners have prepared finance for the development project.
The company holds a 30 percent share. There are three Malaysian joint investors – one holds 25 percent, the second holds 13 percent and another holds seven percent. A Thai investor holds 20 percent, while the other five percent is held by a Lao investor.
