There's no need or no obligation to do that ? there's a lots of countries out there didn't do that, Why ? Because you might pay very heavy fee on that members.
As for ATR72 Fleet are brand new a year or two.
If Mr Geoffrey thought that these ATR 72 didn't pass the inspection, that mean Lao Airlines should SUE the France and Italy made Air Plans, Right .

i think the problem of Laos airline cant pas the inspection from IATA
of course if you have money , the company can hire the consultant and improve what the airline misses
but Laos airline need to spend a lot of money which is not easy for a small airline such Laos

This is just his opinion, he is expert, his airlinerating has a way to rate the airline around the world. if Laos airlines plane didnt crash, he wouldnt bring this up and say about Laos airline. you know. the investigation will come out after they found the flight recorder or black box. if the problem links to the quality or something that connects to the manufacture . the ATR maker will take a responsibility for sure.
