This is very different situation, Why compare ? Once was hit by the Birds the other is hit by stormy weather...
I'm not a Pilot but I read a lots of flight training instruction.
if both of your engines shutoff you still can control your Aircraft for a few miles to land, as for the Aircraft that landed in Hudson River a few years ago. Captain Schollenburger got very lucky that there's a Hudson River nearby, at first he was trying to land in a small Airport in New Joysey but he got no time to go an extra miles or otherwise the plan probably came down in the residential Area in downtown NY City for sure.
So, let get back our Lao Airlines, When the Plan left Wattay Airport the weather Nice and clear. and when they get to down south ( Parkse) that's when they got hit by bad weather. this also the faulted of Control Towers, they shouldn't never allowed the Plan to land, they should direct the Plan turn around or dump some gaslines or land in Ubon, Thailand for a few minute emergency or back to Savannakhet you kno what i'm saying.
So now what if Captain Schollenburger were flew Lao Airlines and got hit by the stormy weather or turbulance like this lao airlines ? What do you think Captain Schollenburger would do ? turn around ? Maybe, try to land the aircraft ? there's a possibility the Captain would do that...
Investigation will be on its way after the black box found!!
Yes, nobody know for sure what's really happening inside the ****pit until they find the Black Box. if they find the Black Box and listen to the Pilots conversation with the tower controllers then we kno how bad the weather was. I was wondering about the weather, was it all day bad weather in Pakse or just a few minutes that left over from the Seasoning Typoon.
