First five-star hotel in Luang Prabang to be built soon

(KPL) The construction of first high-heeled star hotel "Yunnan Copper Hotel", in the northern province of Luang Prabang will be taken shape on March this year.
A Chinese Yunnan Copper Industry Company Ltd, a Chinese investor signed an agreement with Lao government in Luang Prabang province last week.
Signatories to the document were Head of Luang Prabang Planning and Investment Division, Mr. Bounluane Singnakhon and a representative of the Yunnan Copper Industry Company Ltd, Mr. Lee Wenzee in the witnesses of relevant officials of both sides.
The company will spend almost US$43 million on the construction of a five-star hotel, which expected to be completed next three years.
The hotel with a two-storey building will be built on a total area of 16 hectares in Pongvane village, a way to Luang Prabang-Tard Kuangsi in Luang Prabang district, which is around 4 km far from downtown.
The hotel is designed to have 155 international standard bedrooms, a seminar and a meeting room, offices for rent, an internet cafe, a karaoke and an entertainment venue, and food and complex health centres.
The construction of this hotel is to respond the increasing number of tourists. Lao government has grant 50 years of concession to the Yunnan Copper Industry Company for operating its business in the province. Presently, there are more than 10 standard hotels in Luang Prabang province, a tourist destination.
Now those dumb commies allowed to built everything in the world heritage site ??? So the next few year Luangphabang will be a industrial park, right !!!
4 years ago, I was reading the head of world heritage organization that they were worry about PDR'government will allow to build anything in that province . and indeed, its happening right now...

This will bring some jobs, yes
I would say is good thing, but the big benefit man is chinese investor again.
