"Right to Bear Arm"...ແຕ່ອາວຸດແບບນີ້...

ບໍ່ສົມຄວນຂາຍ ໃຫ້ປະຊາຊົນທຳມະດາ disbelief

This is a war's weapon.

After this latest tragedy, I am for tighter gun control law.

Gun control will never happen in the USA.  If it is up to the NRA and the Republican Party every Americans will have to carry some sort of firearm because the right to bear arms is sacrelized in the US constitution.

What part of the US constitution did you read that told you ( Gun control will never happen in USA ?) Where ? What part ? Article I,II or III ? if you say or call for strict law or make it harder for the bad guys to get it I'd agree with you on that . But to say gun control would never happen in America, that something I really wouldn't agree with you on that...

It was not a gun that killed those children, it was a mentally sick bastard that did that. I am a veteran who fought to protect our constitution and freedoms, had sent those who believed of the samething home in a body bags and until the clause " Right To Bear Arms" is removed from the constitution, don't even think about come and get those weapons from me.

Try reading the Second Amendment (Amendment II).  The fact that it was adopted in 1791 when most firearms were flintlock and musket is inconsequential to many gun advocates in the United States.  Every meaningful attempts t ammending this part of the constitution will inevitably fail and or eventually repeal when gun advocate a friendly government has power.  Gun has become religion in American, the same as God, automobile, and the flag.

" It was not a gun that killed those children, it was a mentally sick bastard that did that."  Lame argument.  Killing one person is murder but shooting 5, 10, 15 or 20 people is called a massacre. How often do these massacre must happen in US before Amercians can come to their senses.

To equate "Right to Bear Arms" to freedom is ridiculous.  Most developed countries listed by Freedom House have gun control but yet are considered as "Free" countries.  In fact, many of them are better place to live tha the USA.

Do you need an M16 or an AK-47 to do that?  The US is so dysfunational when it comes to gun control issue that any debate about it becomes something absolute.  If having gun is a right, then it should comes with great responsibility.  That means you are allowed to own certain type of weapon, with licensing and regulation as required by law .  A culture or society that treat guns with less care and regulation than the way they sell or trade automobile is just wrong.

Gun control debate should be a discussion  that Amercians should have right now, but sadly that is not an option for most firearms advocates in the USA.
