(KPL) Lao Airlines has planned to open more direct flights from Vientiane to Seoul and Busan of the Republic of Korea, Quangzhou of China, and to Da Nang in Vietnam, by this year's end, has said senior official of the Airlines.
"Currently the Lao Airlines is developing and growing qualitatively like international carriers. Recently, the Lao Airlines has bought Airbus A-320s to ensure its transport of increasing number of tourists,"Director of the Lao Airlines, Mr. Somphone Douangdala, told a press conference on Monday.
The company has a plan to operate charter flights to satisfy its passengers in the near future, the conference was told.
The national flagship airlines has planned to purchase Airbus A321, A320 and ATR 72-600 planes next year.
Over 500,000 passengers flew with the Lao Airlines last year and it is estimated that the passengers of the Airlines will be increased to 800,000 this year.
