Well, everything that you have said here is totally making sense ...and I strongly agree with you. Laos government always decide to do things arbitrarily (they do things just based on chances rather than being properly planned or having good reasons ) especially when it involves big events.
Laos does not need to do any of those things if it is not ready...it has to develop in a way it should have been.
Roads should be repaired or built because it needs to be. Not because Laos is hosting some event...imagine if Laos is not allowed to host any international event if it still needs foreign supports to do so..then nothing will ever be developed or improved at all.. because we only improve infrastructures to impress foreign visitors, not for the sake of our country development. We all have seen things like these after ASEAN summit and SEA Game...
Everyone knows we are poor, why we need to act rich? for what purpose? I have no ideas... unless it must generate lots of wealth for certain group of people...
