It would make more sense for those ladies to have chosen Indian prints and Indian silk for traditional Lao costume. Not only it's incredibly beautiful and more luxurious than the Chinese, they also signified our religion ( Buddhist ), which came from India also!
Indian prints are also widely used to beautify and decorate Lao Buddhist temples from floor to ceiling throughout the country. There for it absolutely made more sense that Indian prints should have been used for Nang Sangkhan traditional Lao costumes to be worn during Lao New Year!!!!
What are you talking about? These women wear Lao silk sinh. These sinh are typically Lao silk and design, not Chinese and not Indian.
You need to widen your eyes a little more so you can see clearly that the patern on Lao traditional sinh and shaw that those ladies are wearing is not typical Lao silk patern, they are purely Chineese patern!!!!
