GDP should not include Foreign aids/International donations. Subtract these from GDP then realized/adjusted GDP will reflect true national output.

China spent 2011 worrying about others’ debt problems. In 2012 it will face one of its own

It took over 20 years for John Maynard Keynes’s “General Theory” to be translated into Chinese. That was still a bit too soon for some of its readers. Published in 1957, around the time of Mao Zedong’s “anti-rightist” campaign, Keynes’s theory was denounced as “anti-science and anti-people”. He was accused of the unforgivable sin of seeking to “defend capitalism”.

Over five decades later, things are different. The present leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao, have embraced Keynesian prescriptions with great determination. In response to the financial crisis of 2008 they approved an audacious stimulus package, unbalancing the government’s books and spurring the country’s banks to lend. That helped defend their peculiar brand of capitalism from a crushing slowdown.

That only for the few riches families or who are working as top rank of Laos government officers and earned money from corruption only.   There are million normal Lao families couldn't even buy or build new house or car. There's 90% of Lao population are poors 15% medium class and 5% are millionaire ( U.S.$ ).

Laos is better than China and United States if Laos has only 27% people are poor. China have about 98% are poor and United States has about 50% are poor. It depends how much money to consider to be poor and how much income per year , per month, per week and per day? Chinese labors in the factories  average earn about $3 per day . In the United States the minimum wage is $7.25 per hour and of course you must look at the cost of living and pension and benefit as well .

All credit should go to Mr Deng Xiawping for reforming the economic policy. if Chairman Mao still alive, China would've never look like this because he has layout a close country to the outside world...

Which one is the truth?  If Laos has only 27% people are poor . Laos is better than United Sates , China , Japan , Singapore , France, Australia, England and south Korea ?  United Sates have thousand of Malls that don't mean that the  American people are rich. How much income per year to consider to be poor? If Laos really has 27% people are poor the United Nation, China , Thai and Vietnam and other countries will stop giving Laos the foreign aid. Please , tell the truth and stop deluding yourself.
