Two weeks ago I was reading a U.S.A. newspaper, They said the most foreign student that study in America is from China. It' about 180.000 students around the country. definitely Vietnamese. But I don't know how many a Vietnamese students here in America.
How many Lao students study in the U.S any one know please?
According to my research in 2009 alone, Lao Student in the U.S. was 196 pple.
That is very small margin compare to VN students. In 2010 & 2011 I don't know.
The Lao Gov't would like to send them out 300 to 400 to the States each year.
But only half of those pple are returning after grad. They knew that they can't hold any higher ranking when returning home bcoz puklut doesn't want to leave the chair just yet. Older generation still running the show, it doesn't matter what kind of education you have.
