It's true, Laos today is 100 times better than last 36 years.
I am not intent to blame the old Royal of Laos governments weren't develop our country but, the war were to blame. The age of Lao civil war were almost reaching a century old, the Government had no time to develop the country, only used all the money for the war.
Laos PDR had lost 18 years, from 1975 to 1993, to start develop the country after their victory. Laos PDR were took to long to decide to open the doors for the foreign investors to do business in Laos. 18 years of uneducated leaders who run the country and late start to rebuild the country.
South Korea took 30 years to develop their country after the war ended. Wait and see how far Laos is going in the next 12 years, can Laos catch up Vietnam and Cambodia?
Cut down the Govt. corruption is the priority issue to resolve. Rebuild the education systems to be stronger than it were.
Many Lao from Laos PDR are looking for the way to come to the U.S. but, have no idea to get here. Many Lao PDR young girls 17-18 or even someone is 14 of age get marry with Old Lao-American guys, their ages are around their fathers age, for entering the U.S.soil.
Why those Lao young girls want go to USA if they have good live in Laos?
