CAMBO, VIET and Thailand were on the listed. Laos too poor and low Education Communism Goverment was not exist. The Lao people are very smart people, but not equalize opportunity so still under proverty development country. The Laos Goverment needs more education from The USA. Come on? The Harvard and YALE University still open why don't they use the Undertable money to go to that school. Instead of stay in their big mansion home and smoking opium everyday. No good!!!!
The countries are judged by only three criteria: 1: Purchasing Power,(How much money do we(LAOS) have in the Central Banks ? 2: Life expectancy,(How long the averages lao people live?) and 3: Education,(Compare to other surrounding neighbors countries, Laos spent less than 3% of GDP on education, how could we compete with our nieghbors ?)Keep in mind that the countries are measured against one another. It's like being graded on a curve. for this reason it can be difficalt to measure (our country laos) against itself... OR you might want to measure the quality of life using more than the three categories used in the '' Human Development'' you can also access the standard of living for each country. Now you know why our country not on the list... and of course, i acknowledged that in the last few years our people lao are happy with their lives considering we live in a peaceful, Safe, and well environment. but i wouldn't count on us being happiest country in Asia... even though we are still very poor country in the region.... and i don't know how our LaoNaiS and LaoNokS think about this issue, But this is my personal opinion.... and As for Thailand, well, i don't have time, right now i'm using my workplace property, Maybe next time i'll talk about Thailand ok....fellow.
