สอบสวนทั้งหมดให้การรับสารภาพว่า เป็นประชาชนลาวอายุระหว่าง 19-28 ปี มีบัตรผ่านแดนเดินทางเข้าประเทศไทยทางด่านตรวจคนเข้าเมืองสะพานมิตรภาพไทยลาว อ.เมืองหนองคาย จากนั้น เช่าบ้านอยู่ในเขตเทศบาลนครอุดรธานี ตกดึกจึงออกมาเร่ขายบริการ และเมื่อบัตรผ่านแดนหมดอายุจะเดินทางกลับบ้านและขออนุญาตเดินทางข้ามมาใหม่ เคยถูกเจ้าหน้าที่จับกุมหลายครั้ง แต่กลับมาอีก เพราะว่ารายได้ดี จึงแจ้งข้อหาเข้าติดต่อ ชักชวน แนะนำตัว ติดตามเพื่อการค้าประเวณี ควบคุมตัวส่ง พ.ต.ท.มนัส อัดโดดดร สารวัตรเวร สภ.เมืองอุดรธานี สั่งปรับคนละ 200 บาท แล้วดำเนินการตามกฎหมายต่อไป

 Is it true? I doubt that very much. Why on earth would Thai hookers were all over in Laos. Thailand is/was much more prosper than Laos at any period of time.

I can imagine some Thai Esan from a far far away village from a city in Thailand but can get easier access to Laos would be come a hooker in Vientiene or some big city but I can't imagine she could be a hooker in every part of Laos.

They don't want to be Lao Esan or Thai Esan, they want to be Thai in this present time. If you don't believe me just ask them then you will getting the answer they are Thai, not Lao or Thai Esan for sure.
I don't mean to call them Thai when they were hookers. I'll calling them by what they wanted to be.     
Same as this case, I don't believe all 33 girls are Lao from LPDR, might be 5 or 10 mixed with Thai hookers in same case.
