My old village in northeast of Luang Prabang where Nam Khan ( Khan river ) starting ( Gnoyd khan in phasa lao ) out from mountain name " Phou Kai ". In 1960 was very cold year in that winter, no snow but icy all over that area, about 10 square kilometers wide. All kind of dead fish and animal flaoting mix with million million pieces of ice on surface of Khane river. I'm not sure how low the temperature was, but as low as water was frozen. I'm still remembered that time, my dad made 3 big barn fire underneath our house for us. Non of single human die from that icy storm, but domestic live stocks was killed all over the villages and as same as in the forest's small aniamls too. Took 2 days before get over with that storm, if it keep continue about a week or more, I'm not sure about people couldn't live with that.
