There are more then 250,000 Lao workers in Thailand right now who send more than $100 millions back to Laos every year. There are two millions Thai coming to visit Laos and spending millions to Lao economy. What is your contribution to Laos????? none, because you are a stupid sore loser who have no life and whose sole purpose is to make Thai and Lao people hate each other.

Why don't Lao people go to work in Vietnam??? because there are no jobs over there and because the salary is much lower than in Thailand.

Why are labor migration and remittances important?

Lao oversea send a total of between $204 millions and $258 millions (average $231) back to Laos. 

Of the total number, Lao workers in Thailand send between 48% - 59% (average 53.5%) or $123.6 millions, and Lao from the US send between 29% and 37% (average 33%) or $76.23 millions. The remaining $31.17 millions are sent by Lao people from other countries.
