Hero Sithong memorial to be built in Sangthong District

(KPL) Authorities of Sangthong District are going to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the memorial of hero Sithong.
The objective of the memorial construction project is to ensure public members have a place to visit and learn the deeds of hero Sithong.
Relevant authorities are now proposing the project to the government for consideration of approval, according to Mr Khamla Douangphasouk, director of the Douangphasouk Housing, Road - Bridge and Irrigation Construction and Repair Company.
Mr Khamla said on Tuesday that if the proposed project goes smoothly as planned, its construction will be completed within two years.The project has an estimated cost of 40 billion kip. It will include the building of a statue of hero Sithong, a museum, and a public park with basic facilities.
