The Roman Empire invaded the region in 63 BCE, first taking control of Syria, and then intervening in the Hasmonean civil war. The pyramids were built hundreds of years before they allegedly went to Egypt. 

The Khmers used to conquer the lands that are now Thailand and Laos during the Khmer Empire period. Going by your logic, you're suggesting that the Khmers should invade Thailand and Laos to take back their lands because "they (Khmers) were once there". But this would not be fair to Thai and Lao people because they have already settled there for a long time just as the Arabs have settled in Palestine for long time!
