Do you know what tranresponders is ? Tranresponders is a Signal or communication between ****pit and Control towers.
Yes, if you turn that signal off...Nobody know where the hell you are...
I think, that if the pilots turns the transponders off, somebody(radars) still can pick you up, but they won't know who you are. The transponders give the ground crews to know all the data of the aircraft and the intention of what is the route of the flight.
I might be wrong. I am not a pilot nor the ground technician. I have no idea what I am talking about.

Yes Sir, you absolutely right of what you said. Even they (The Pilots) turn off tranresponders the ground crew still know that there's a Plane go thru their Air Space especially the Military Rada would pick it up right a way But that country isn't going to tell you right a way if you don't ask because it has to do with their national security...
