Our country LAOS will benefit the most, Why ? Because our country is still very underdevelop pretty much. so those countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunie and Philipine will help out as much as they can to pull our country out of underdevelop status.

I agree with most of what you said, but sometimes I become less optimistic. One big disadvantage here is that Laos is not only an under-developed country but also an under-populated country, compared with countries like Vietnam and the Philippines (almost 100 millions in each of these countries). These two countries are not so much more developed than Laos but have an enormous surplus of workers looking for ways to emigrate, compared with Malaysia, Singapore or Thailand. Therefore, once the borders are opened Laos will be flooded by workers from such countries for jobs that most Lao people could do but cannot compete for because of they are not properly trained. Laos can also become a magnet for professional beggars from some ASEAN countries. As for some people here thinking Lao people will be able to travel and work in other countries, that's somewhat short-sighted. The flow will be more likely in the opposite direction, from the overcrowded and highly competitive to the least populated and least competitive. Look at the number and level of education of young Lao, it's far below that in other countries.
Do you used to see(go to) Cambodia? May be you know and watch only Thai TV. Cambodia is more develop than your Country!
you will see next 10 years Burma/Myanma if they no have civil war anymore! as you know both are Democracy regime. absolute next 10 years you will see if no civil war!
