A young Lao student will depart for the United States next week to attend the Genius Olympiad where she will battle it out for a gold medal against participants from more than 50 countries around the world
The scientist-in-the-making is Ms Phatsany Meunphilom, 17, a secondary student of Eastern Star Bilingual School in Vientiane, who will present her project on the protection and improvement of the environment at the competition in New York
