I was twice to the USA Embassy for interview.
1rst - 1/2 business 1/2 personal trip ( my wife and my 2 boys, 8 and 5 yrs old).
The local employees were only to guide us to the right door and was no cutting line.
inside - it were 4-8 windows where the interviewer conducted the interview, he was very polite, asking the daily life things. from that conversation he was very surprised because it came out that we had the same friends. and before we said anything, he told us to come back in 3 days.
At the 2nd day, the driver of our company was in some business there and he brought us our pass-ports with the stamp (visa).
2nd - personal trip (again my wife and my 2 boys, but they were a little older + 4yrs).
We were in the morning at the line, got in the same way and the interviewer asked almost the same questions. this time the interviewer was black girl (young). she told us to come back to pick up the visa in the PM in the same day. That was my luck or because we had the same friends.
Once at the British Embassy i got a hard time.
The trip was business. all the group members got their visa, but me,
The group traveled 2 days ahead, then the Big Boy brought me a visa (the boss of the sponsor of the trip).
I would say, the British Embassy employees are very unpleasant people to work with. They don't answer if you have a question.
3 years later, when I applied for the visa, they just gave without a question.
