How about trying to clean up the gabbages and dusts on the roads first before thinking about that?
Vientiane is extremely dirty, small roads are so bad... unpaved and lots of holes..
I wouldn't go that far to use the word of '' Extremly Dirty'' if compare to other fellow asean nations including the next door neighbor. I'd love to put all the photos of each countries that I mention but I wouldn't do that. slums in Bangkok, Bangaladeh, Sri lanka, India,Cambodia, vietnam and burma.
if you don't believe me, go and search for your self.
and as for Skytrain or bullet train, we don't need none of these. its a waste, if they the PDR's government really need the train. why don't go with traditional train ? cheaper to operate and maintain... as for traffic jams ? just don't put everything in the same places like Capital Vientain, spread them thru-out country we have a lots of empty land you kno. why don't we learn from Bangkok, Tokyo, Beijing, Taipei, manila, Saigon...

I do believe you, I'm thai ban Sykhay and i have been around the cities of Vientaine. you already know that pdr government don't have enough money to do it except depending on the foreign aid here and there. i don't mean to look down them but their budget is kinda tight up on their own pocket...I still remember back a few years ago Japanese government gave a fund for building and paving the roads around Kumpheang nakone vieng junh but they collected the taxes with the poors to fix their own roads. see what i'm saying !!!.
well, you and i want to see our country to be better so i knew you're frastrated about condition but can we say ??? laos is a socialist country and the socialist government suppose to look after their own people...

I dont think it is correct to say that Lao government don't have enough budgets. They have the budgets but do you know what percentage of the budget is actually used to repair the roads?
Let me give you example, government recieve 1$ million to repair road... but only maybe 200,000-300,000 $ is used .. the remaining $$$? I am sure you know what I mean..
that's why the roads are so badly maintained....because they some people want to take advantage of this issue and ask for budget to fix it every year so they can corrupt money
