(KPL) The Lao government has already approved a budget of 20.8 billion kip for organizing the coming 32 nd ASEAN Tourism Forum to be held on 17-24 January in Vientiane Capital.
Head of Economic Subcommittee and Supervisor for ATF's Budget Payment attaches to Ministry of Finance, Mr. Nouphai Khunlavong said on Monday that the Government has approved the budget to the ATF Subcommittee for Economic and Finance for organizing the forthcoming ATF.
He said that a total amount of budget has been allocated to serve for other sector including 1.4 billion kip will be used for organising meeting, 441 million kip will go to opening and closing ceremonies, 8.8 billion kip for accommodation and transport, 1.1 billion kip for tourism exhibition, 712 million kip for media, 2.3 billion kip for volunteers and organizing a reception, 466 million kip for tourist and friendship golf competition, 541 million for city decoration, 487 million kip for security, 452 million kip for health, and 3.8 billion kip for economic subcommittee.
Mr. Nouphai continued that the budget has been splitted into three amounts-first for fuel, second for protocol affairs and the last for accommodations. Backing up the ATF was the Phu Bia Mining providing US$10,000 and Lao Fuel Company announcing a support worth 10 million kip. In addition, Lao Brewery Company, Lao Airlines, hotels and other sectors also announced their supports for the event.
