 If you're 44 years old that mean you was about 8 to 10 years old when your family got into the United States of America. The kids about that age came to U.S. will be 99% American writing and speaking English.

 There are just a few grammatical errors here and there in the sentences above, but this is quite normal when someone, in particular a foreign-born person who speaks Lao at home, quickly expresses his/her opinion in English in a discussion forum. I myself rarely re-read the messages I wrote before hitting "submit".
