It does nothing good to compare bad things of other country to good things of your own country. When you are doing this, you are looking down on other people and praise yourself unnecessary. Improve yourself by recognize and correct your own short-coming.

Many of the lao officials who came on this board have "ego" problems in addition to the inferiority complexes. Always bragging about how advanced they are, how rich they are and how developed they are with the new toys that they now have. This whole thing reminds me of an old lao folk story about a beggar who found a pair of shiny glass shoes....
Your kind of question amazes me!!! You don't seem to understand the real meaning of "ທັນສະໃໝ". How about education, university, highways/routes, train, infrastructure, and healthcare? Those are the real factors that define "ທັນສະໃໝ".
You know what? Don't even pretend to try to defend Lao people. You seem to suffer from a serious inferior complex towards the Thai, it's your problem. You always try to bring this issue of Lao-Thai here all the time to cause hate between the two people. Lao people are really proud of themselves, they are not going to try to bring this kind of comparison with the Thai. Don't put yourself in the place of Lao people.
You are not a proud Lao person and you can only make Lao look insecure like yourself.
