 Never but a lot of fighting between Siam and the French .Then Champasak and Sayaboury lost to the French because of the rival between the British and French. Then The Japanese saved Siam because the French was weak and was defeated by Hitler. Siam was the Japanese ally and declared war on the France , British and the America on world war ll. But with a good tactic some group of saree Thai saved Siam from the United States and the ally. If the Japan have won the war Siam would also have won the war .But the United States and the allies won the war . Siam also celebrated that Siam also have won the war. So siam was in the winning situation because of good tactic .

 Siam was smart and saved herself from being colonized by the French and the British. India much stronger and bigger than Siam, still could not save herself from the British. China also lost part of land to British as well.  Siam beat Cambodia and Lanxang because Siam had a lot of trick . Siamese could never be trust if you trust Siamese then you will lose every thing.

There's only Lao people in Thailand don't have their own LAO ALPHABETS coz Siamese government banned to all Lao people in Siam not to teach or study Lao.  During that time there was many Lao schools in Esaan and some parts of Siam had been burened down by Siamese authorities, beside that if they catched any Lao teacher they chop off their necks. There was thousands and thousand Lao students in teachers in Siam had been chopped off their necks from teaching and learning PHASA LAO.  They didn't care who he/she is if they catched him/her teaching or learning LAO he/she will get killed. Siamese had done that to all LAO people in Thailand. More than that they killed even Monks in yellow robes who's teaching LAO in the temple schools.  

Chinese government gave permission to Lao people in Sib Song Panna to keep their orignal LAO ALPHABETS and every one have right to study and teach in the schools, and they are still call themselves TAI-LAO.

 I've never heard of that before. Do you have any exact infos. I won't trust someone who post around without any info because even in the southern provinces of Thailand, Thai government has allowed people to learn Malay language, and people who learn Malay didn't even get killed.

 Would Hitler  want the world to know  the bad history against himself or their heroes . I don't believe that the Mongolian would consider Genghis Khan as the barbarian and the reincarnation of Evil as the Chinese and the rest of the world said about him but he was the Mongolian hero. So the Siamese would never told the truth of what their hero had done to LanXang but the good things. If the Japan have won the war .The world would never knew about the unit 731 , the  experimented on the Chinese by the Japanese scientists on the prisoner camp in Manchuria.Also Siam would control all Lanxang and Laos would never exist in the map.  So you must made the research to find out  from different nations historians what were happening in the world at that time such as the  French , the Dutch and the other European historian and also the neighboring countries  that  what the Siamese had done to LanXang .Perhaps you might not want to know the truth.

 All the new Lao Esaan or Lao people in Thailand who were born in the 60's didn't know about what did Siamese had done to their great grandparents who were tried to teach Lao alphabets or [ Vayakorn Lao ] for their new generation to kept to be their original native language and alphabets.

I don't have the exactly information or evident to prove to show the world. All the history books had been destroyed by Siamese authorities hundred years ago.  I have heart from people telling story from generation to generation, but those tellers was my great grandparents to my grandparents then to my parents then I heart from my parents. We actually came from Roi-Eth Thailand, my great grandpa moved his family to Laos in 1898 and my grandpa was 6 years old during that time. My great grandpa was Lao school teacher in a small town and  teaching underground Lao school from 1890 to 1897. Siamese tried to arrest him after they found out he open Lao school underground after his old Lao School above the ground had been destroyed and burned down by Siamese. He had to fled his hometown to Vientiane Laos. When I was 12 I had read my grandpa history books that he wrote about Siamese chopped off Lao Esaan teacher's heads, some Monks in the temples and burned down Lao schools.

This story is truth or not no one know for sure. I travel to Esaan so may times during before 75's and I asked older Lao people there and 90% tell the same what I had read from my grandpa history book.  Now I am in mid 60's and I am still researching to see the truth to show the world what Siamese had been done to my great grandparents and my relatives include " PHEE NONG XAO ESAAN " who gave away their lives for teaching  PHASA LAO, from 1860 to 1960, to new Lao genarations.

 That's only Siamese told Lao Esaan not to live with the past because they don't want you guys to know how they had done to your [ Lao Esaan Baanphaburooth ].  All Lao people in Laos, in the central and Northern of Thailand or oversea are happy to be Lao, they aren't same as Lao Esaan that they unhappy to be Lao Esaan, instead they want to be Thai or Siamese.

Lao Lanna have their own [ Vayakorn or Ark-Sorn ].

How about Esaan??????????
