Tell me something about yourself. I was born in a refugee camp in Thailand to Lao parents and I have eight siblings!
What is the proudest moment of your life or most memorable day? The proudest moment in my life so far was the day that my brother in law and I purchased a home for my family.
Tell us a little something about your Country/State ? Minnesota nice!! And, of course the land of 10,000 lakes!
What makes you proud of the country/state you are representing, and what can you promote about your country/state? I am so proud that Minnesota took my family and so many other families in and gave us an asylum. I would like to promote the fact that Minnesota is so diverse and some people may or may not know that Minnesota is a wonderful and accepting state for refugees and immigrants. Asian-Americans make up to 40% of Minnesota's immigrant population.
Describe your childhood/growing years. My childhood was interesting growing up in such a big family and being a middle child. We moved around quite a bit but I'm thankful to have such a great family and be where I am today with my parents hard work.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years? I definitely had to learn how to share having so many siblings! I also learned from a very young age to appreciate what you have and to never take anything or anyone for granted.
What are things that you cannot live with out? Well besides the necessities in life like food and water... ; p I probably wouldn't be able to live without music so my iPhone and candy! I love candy. Especially sour staws and pixie sticks!

What are the best qualities a parent could share with their children? Why? Some of the best qualities a parent could share with their children are respect, love and integrity. Without those things, what kind of person would we be at the end of the day and what kind of world would we be living in?
If you showed me around your state (county, city, community, etc.), where would you take me? Why? One of the places I would take you to the stone arch bridge in Minneapolis. It's beautiful and has a lot of history surrounding that area with all the flour mills. There are too many places to name though!
What do you expect to gain by participating in pageants? Why? I have already gained so much by participating in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant. I've learned how to better myself in my confidence and speaking abilities. I wouldn't say that I "expect" anything. It's a learning experience and it's what you, yourself, make of it at the end of the day.
Which celebrity would you invite to a dinner party and why? I would invite Justin Timberlake because I've had a crush on him ever since he's been in Nsync ; ) But, on a serious note! I would love to have the opportunity to invite and speak with our First Lady Michelle Obama because I think that she's an amazing, smart, and inspirational woman. I would hope to gain some wisdom from the conversation that I would have with her.
If you could change one thing about the world what would it be? There are so many things that need our attention but one thing that strikes home is making sure that everyone has food and water to eat and drink. Especially children in our own country in the United States and all over the world.
