I really do respected you what you try to do or teach our younger generation about our languages, But one thing I have to pointed out that you also made a mistake too about ''Huean and Ban,'' I think you need to some alittle research our local or provincial tradition first. Khon Vieng Junh central lao called ''Heuan as Ban,'' and Khon Savannakhet and all the ways down to Southern most called Heuan. if these southern people are going to country side, they say'' Mea Ban=mean going to Ban Nok... if central people going back home that mean they mea Ban... Ban mean Heuan to them, Ok.....
So as for the French style Houses, Yes, it was built by Lao elites and pretty much by our lao elites back in the old time. But all of these houses got the blue print of french style not Lao at all. and as for your self, I think you're from the South right !!! I'm sorry Sir to straight you out about this debated.
this is khonh lao, no one answer the question but they end up fighting each other about writing and meaning of the word , ja hai pathet xad bane mouang jalern dai neo dai , tai sam nee ngang bor kao jai kanh.

Brother we are not talking aout how the english people called house or home, We are talking about our Lao people called house/home differently. from Northern most to the Southern most. and from tribes to tribes in our country Laos. I think you're some kinda missed understood... this issue.
