Ateliers de la Peninsule undertook the renovation and transformation of an existing 1970's house into a colonial style building to accommodate the Word Bank office in Vientiane. The project included new extensions for additional office space, landscaping of the surrounding garden and a patio.
Can't wait to see the finishing product. Just been to Vientiane this month during Boun That Luang, the residents and civic officials are destroying the city by continously putting up concrete monstrosities that are unruly and ugly.

I prefer a brand new modern multi-stories building instead of renovation of the old one.
Come on World Bank, you've got plenty money.
Money is plenty but it doesn't belong to me - otherwise, I would have built a 50 story building in Laos instead of this... We have laws and regulations to follow and income/expenses balances to check.
This is really suck. This is not Luang Prabang where you have to renovate old coclonial building due to World Heritage rule and regulation.
This is Vientiane: I can't believe it they selected this plan
Maybe there should be regulation to renovate and preserve the old colonial building in Vientiane. The buildings being put up now are tasteless and do not to the attractiveness of the city.
