Talking about Police Laos, Viet, and Japan police are not allow to have guns, for me Police must have guns, have a look when american police australian police when they go raging drugs dealers, drugs gangs, they use full of force, smashing their ways in, not walk in line like Laos police...without a guns to go to rage drug gangs.
To be able to get rid of corruption in Asian Police they must have a decent salary, enough for them to survive to support their family, otherwise with little amount of salary, then not easy to eliminate corruption.
I saw once in shopping centre an australian woman police very courageous chased a big fellow because he stole something from a shop...and she had him on the ground, very strong. Well many think asian police not polite swearing at the criminals, I tell you australian police do swear a lot too. If criminals swear at them they swear back, and will use a lot of force to those criminals.
I tell you, even in lao language, majority of people come here and read and write something are living or studying in overseas. Most of lao people living in Laos, they don't come here, to read or say things here. Very few people in Laos come here believe me.
