All I need to say is......It'll take another 20 years at least for Thakek to be like in the picture above. Just because they got the bridge opened recently, doesn't mean they are going to develope the city that fast. Look at the special economic zone in Savannakhet for instance, since they opened the bridge, they plan to build them big too and 5 yrs later, they still have not got anything going. The land still empty, the signs of the billboard is only thing that look good. They need the investors & the developers 4 sure.
