I see this video then make me thinking back to Vientiane flood in 1966. That time there was only Phonekheng and That Luang wasn't flooding. All Flood's refugees was stayed at those Two locations for couple weeks before they can return to their homes.
Hopefully everything will be alright and be safe to all Vientiane People. I truly fell sorry to all our people in Vientiane at this moment.
This is the reason why since ancient time, lao people would build their house of stilts. Modern houses aren't just not suitable for this type of weather.

I was 11 years old during that time, I still remember that I had lots of fun with friends on small boat that we went around Buing That Luang for hunting the rats at night time and day time I like to go walk around Sala Phunt Hong to see the people from low level land came stay there. I am Thai Ban That Luang Neua and now live in the States.
