That is a lot of money if you compare to US dollar is around $6,000 - $7,000. let means farmer children and low class people cannot work at the bank then. That is impossible and it is sucking systems lao labor law. I thought that every lao citizens have equal opportunuty and depend on their education and experiences.

I feel so sad for these people because I am laotian too, who see the gov. doesn't look after their own people. govt. are so self-fishness that our country is still being poor today. poor people don't have equal opportunities and equal rights, unlikely the rich people pay their own way to get to the top. I wonder my nephew study in finance at Champassak University and one day when he is finished, then he want to work in the Banking system. it means that he has no chance to work for the bank. if he want to work in the Bank so he has to come up 200, 000 Bth to get in. This is so sick in my stomach about lao labor laws.
I don't believe you, it is happening in lao society now and I knew so, My nephew graduated electricain and he want to work for electric company in Uttapou and he apply for the job and the company told him put $500 US. in front to deposit first, he told him that he didn't kind of money and they told him to find some way to get money then get here agian. so his father work very hard to pay for his education and he didn't get a job and he decide to join army. that is truly story. and you said notthing has had happened and you are as liar.
This is not criticized my own country and society to let world know. it is truly story and I just want lao society to fair labor and justice for last of lao. I want my people have right to work with their skills and education.

I don't believe if I don't see by my own eyes. My son who was born in the U.S. in 1980 and now he's Vientiane and working as financial officer at Phongsavanh Bank. I don't know how he got that job over there, I asked him so many times that he had to pay under table fee before he got that job? He said no..no..no. He has short term contact with that bank ( 1 year contact ) with salary is almost 1/2 lower to what he made in the States. He said he wants to learn how to live in Laos and some day he will be there for permanently to help Lao people develop his grandparents land. But I miss him and can't wait to see him back to the States, he's still 5 months to go for his contact to end yet. He told me he's training a Lao-Chinese guy who's relate to the owner of the bank.
His master degree of his education and his back ground of experiences worked in the States as Financial Officer over 7 years are a factor of getting job in that bank in Vientiane.
