Laos voices concern over Thai-Cambodia border clashes
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep concern yesterday about exchanges of fire between Cambodian and Thai troops over a border dispute between the two countries.
A ministry spokesman issued the following statement yesterday in response to the clashes.
“The Lao People's Democratic Republic has strong concerns about the military clashes between the Kingdom of Cambodia and Kingdom of Thailand that have occurred since February 4 at the shared border area between the two countries, which has caused loss of civilian lives and property on both sides.”
“As a close neighbour of both countries, the Lao PDR strongly hopes the two sides will be tolerant, cease further attacks, and explore solutions in an amicable manner through discussion in order to return the situation to normalcy.”

That's good enough, just only statement of concern. That's the appropriate way to do.
But, do not try to get involved, period.
If those two countries ask for help, then Laos should do so, by inviting them to come to Vientiane. And be sure to tell them first to pay for the cost of everything.
Thailand no need no table talk, they want go for war to bring their land back to their country. They don't care how many Their solders and their civilians got killed. They just want to lift their loosing faces to show the world that they are SEA tigers without teeth.
I don't think Thailand dare to ask help from Laos, even they were turned down and rejected the U.N. requirement for Table talk. Just let Cambodia teach them a lesson. Thailand used raise white flag to welcome Japanese during ww2. They will get big time ask kick by Cambodia.
