Not all Lao people who's living in the U.S. to make mortgage payments for 30 years. I paid off my house 22 years early of 30 years, that mean it was only 8 years that I paid off my property.
I am still alive, I am not die before my property paid off like you said. Now I am mid 50 and my health is very good, I am retired already. I enjoy spend time with my kids and my grand kids. I handed over my farm to my kids to take over my business and myself just take easy and go travel with my young beautiful wife ( 24 year-old ) from Laos, my first sweet heart was passed away by car accident 10 years ago.
