I handed $10 bill to lady owner that gift shop, and she confused to accept that money. She said: MY RAB THANABATH PROM KHAR. She though I pay her with fake money. I tried to use U.S. dollar buy thing at other shop, street side restaurant and in free market, they were all confused to accept my dollar bills. I told my cousin about that story right after I got at his resident. My cousin told me that Thai people don't know U.S. dollar bills, they know only Thai Baht.

Thai baht very strong in Asean, Thai people not neccesary to have dollars especailly in the countryside (Khet chonnabot) which not international business trading same as other country Lao also. Whole Lao country accepted Thai Baht even Vietnam in Hue, Danung, Hoi-un you can use Thai baht in only tourist place, Did you know, Singapore Shopping Center also accepted Thai Baht, because Thai peaple is shopper.

What do you mean " You are lost away" ? I'm not quite understanding what you're talking about. It's true that you said Lao people should use Lao Kip and Thai should use Thai baht. My comments up there are talking about Khon Lao In Laos know U.S. Dollars better than Thai people some place in Thailand. My experience was got denied or confused to accept my S.U. Dollars in bus station of Chang Wath Nan Thailand. There wasn't in [ khet chonnabot ], in Amper Muong or city on Nan province. For Lao people who they accepted my U.S. Dollars and gave me changed with Lao Kip was in Muong Phonsavanh, Xiengkhuang province and that is " khet chonnabot '' of Laos. I brought up the truth to tell, that wasn't a story be made.

You're the one " Khot " stupid Thai person. I wasn't traveled only in Thailand but, China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Mala, Singapore, Indonesia, and Myanmar. The people of those countries know U.S. Dollar, they even asked me do I have U.S. dollar cash when I was purchasing merchandises and or Hotel room and restaurant beside my credit cards. I don't know what purpose that they need U.S. Dollar cash, if I pay them with $100 bill, it's more valuable than a small bills, 5-10-20 and 50 and I got special off from original prices, or gift. Only Thai people don't know U.S. Dollar ( there are not every person ). Thai Bangkok working at old and new Thai Inter-Air Port as Immigration officers or staffs are well known U.S. Dollar, I used paid them under the table $10-$20 for my convenience passport check in and out Thailand.
In Golden Triangles, U.S. Dollar is a top list of people want, after U.S. dollar is Chinese Yuan then Thai Baht. I didn't hear the people talk about Lao Kip and Myanmar currency at that place at all.
Sorry if my comments made you uncomfortable or unhappy and hurt your feeling.

Hello Thai people, please read this story before you look down khon Lao.
I don't think Thai people is well known their popular Thai Lakorn actor and star, SornRam Theppithuck and his dad Sumporn Theppithuck ( I might spell their names and family name wrong ). I believed Thai people knew these father and son only as they are Thai movie and lakorn actors and star but, don't know who they are? What their original nationality are they? and where they came from before Thailand?
Here their family's story:
First thing first I would like presenting a Lao popular singer, his name is Phonethep Theppithuckand sung a song name " Phet nai tom " a diamond in dirt in English or " phet nai klon " in Thai language. His song were very popular in Laos in mid 60's and it's well known of Lao people since then till present time. Him and his brother Sumporn Theppithuck father of SornRam Theppihtuck were born and grew up in Vientiane Laos. In mid 60's Sumporn Theppithuck and his wife moved to Thailand by a Thai movie producer.
The true is: SornRam Theppithuck is Lao Vientiane blood, his mom and dad are Laotians, and even his great grandpa and grandparents were Laotians. He's always calling his dad PA, not " khun poh " Laotian like to teach their kids to call them Pa Pa from French word. You will see any time SornRam and his dad on interview, he calls his dad Pa.
Their original nationality was Laotian ( Lao Vientiane ) and they were from Laos in mid 60's.
If Thai people " Do Thook " khon lao that's mean you " Do Thook many of Thai citizens also.
So, are you happy being called as a Lao or sad that they call you a Lao person?

Oh please do not blame someone else for your own'' Failed Immigrant Policy,'' Here the main reason why, 1: Failures of Thai Migration policy. 2: Provincial Decrees-control on Migrant workers. 3: Forced labor and Human Trafficking. 4: Extortion of Migrants by(your) local Authorities. 5: Rights Violations in the Migration Registration System. 6: Labor Right abuses.... So you thai brother have to go and find out what all it mean each of category and you will understand why your country(Thailand) soo bad with legals and illegals Immigrant workers..... and as for (Khor-Thans), this is also your own fault, you people created them, and put them to works by a local Maafia... So who's making the money off the (khor-Than) ??? a Thai-Pimp...

If you are Thai you are well known there are thousand gangs of " khoh-than " business in Thailand. They do this kind of business and made money millions and millions baht per years for their organization leaders. In day time they are traveling for "khoh-than " by dropping out their " khoh-than '' people at their designation points or locations, and at night time they drive their luxury car to the pups as hi-show people.
You should learn more about your own country, don't just throw the stupid $hit of your country to your neighboring countries people. The world is well known how and what Thailand is. Nothing can't hide on this planet mr. Thai.
P.S. I don't mean to hurt all Thai people but, only a Thai person who wrote comment in phasa thai on this topic only.

Open your eyes then take closer look on your back yard. How many young children missing a year in Thailand? The " Khor Than " MAFIA gangs in Thailand kidnapped those children and cut off their hand, foot and some took out eyes balls then made them to be " khor than " to earn money for them. Don't lie, no body is going to believe you that you said you had conversation or spoke with those " khor than ". I saw Thai people hated those people like the hell.
A drug trafficker had arrested, at Nong Song Hong Udon, on his way to Bangkok. His picture and Thai polices were showed on front page of Thai news papers, because the drugs were cost over 5 million baht. I don't know the reason why that news papers reporter wrote that drug trafficker was Lao from Laos PDR. This case were involve with 2 nations. Laos PDR wants that man back to Laos and convicted his crimes over there but, Thai authorities confused hand over him to Laos. Both counties had long talk of this case and finally Thai authorities changed that drug trafficker state and said, he wasn't Lao PDR people, he's Thai Esaan carried a fake Lao PDR I.D.
Do you think Laos govt believe that? There are not only normal Thai people want to make bad look on Laos their lower Govt authorities were involve with them also. The case of that drug trafficker was a strong evidence to show the world that Thailand wants to make the bad look on their neighbor counties.
