But for me, I used the service of Public Bank since 1997 and I still have my Account there.
I had an account at BCEL, but I was so disappointed in 2004 when I was in a hurry, the bank tellers were talking about share (Houy), who will get first hand and what the rate of interest etc...so I stoped using that account but I still keep my account there in case the service is improved I will return to use their service again.
I went to BKK bank at Hatsady (opp Public Bank), I tried to open an account in US$ about several years ago, when my salary was US$ 76/ month.
The lady at the bank told me that, 'sorry brother, you cannot open an account with US$50, you have to have at least US$100 she said'. And I never want and never will step into that bank again ever...
Recently, I found that ANZ is not too bad, but my mum loves having her account at JDB because its branch is only short distance to our home and she can use her bank card easily for cash.
I would say Phongsavanh Bank because they do good thing for young generation, each night in front of the main bank in Vientiane they organise activies for young students, such as singing and other games which is good for young kids.
