Is Laos PDR still teaching history of King Sayachackaphat who sent Xang Pheuak s-h-i-t instead of its hair to Vietnamese impire? So far I know many young generation Laotians didn't know abou this story.
There's possibility that '' Chao Saiya-chackaphat and Chao Saiyasarn,'' could be the same person. Because, as i've gone thru- all the names of Lao-king's. from Pha-chao Fa Ngum all the way down to the last King of laos, Chao Sisavang-Vatthana. i couldn't find any person that name ''Chao Saiyasarn. and as for Phachao Saiya-chackaphat, he was the King number 11 for the Lan-Xang Kingdom.Reign from 1438-1479. sorry man, wish i can help you. But, i couldn't.
Here the story of Khee Xang Pheuak that according to Lane Xang history:
The villagers got white elephant ( Xang Pheuak in lao ) from deep junkle then they brought to make offer to the King Saya-Chackaphat. The news was spreading to all over, then went to Impire of Vietnam. The Impire want to see that elephant hairs then asked from Lao king to sent them to him. King Saya-Chackaphat responded what the Impire asked for with sending that elephant hairs and put them in the bamboo box. On the way to Vietnam, the soldiers kept elephant hairs for themself and put elephant poop in that box instead. The Vietnamese Impire was so happy after received and open that box, but no white elephant hairs only elephant s-h-i-t. Tha impire was so angry then he order his troops to invade Laos.
