Dear All Sorry... I did not install Lao font to my computer yet. So, I will reply in English. I joined the program last year. I would not say that all the participating youths got the scholarship by themselves. However, even though they did not pass the exam by themselves, but they also have their own talents. We also have the criteria when we do the test. Many countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam or even Thailand, some of their youths who joined the program, they also did not pass the exam by themselves. They also supported by government or other organizations. For after program, all member countries must have the national plan we call POST PROGRAM SESSION, means every country must set the plan(s) to conduct after the program. For Lao contingent in 2008, we had 3 plans: A. Establish of SSEAYP Alumni of Laos because only Laos and Myanmar did not have the alumni yet. So, we established in February and did the Official grand opening in August 2009 ( Mission completed ). B. Spread the scholarship to other provinces year by year. So, in 2009 we conducted the exam in Luang Phabang ( 1 youth to join in 2009) and in Pakse (3 youths to join in 2009). Then, we will try to conduct the exam in more provinces in future. ( Mission completed ). C. Laos Goes Green, planting trees ( Mission failed ) because we did not recieved the permission from the related organisations and government cannot support us the sapplings and venue to grow. However, on June 1st, all of 2008 members planted trees at their home to help our environment.
On the other hand, the purposes of the pregram is Society contribution. Therefore, many ex-participating youths (EX-PYs) of this program also joined the social activities: Painted the school in Champasack, Vientiane, Savannakhet, 2007 batch served the Greatest Mekong Summit in Vientiane, many EX-PYs will serve for SEAGAMES, 2008 batch volunteered to help the flooding zone in Vientiane capital and other activities to conduct in the future. Moreover, overall evaluations, batch 2008 standed the FIRST place for the first time of Lao PY among the 11 countries joined the pregram since Laos joined in 1998. The reason why we afforded to be first because of the contingent solidarity and our Lao smoothly manner that attracted other people. This can show the ability of Lao Youths. The test for this program will take place in Mid of April or May every year. We need the strengt, creative, self-confident youths to join. Any information, please follow at LAOSAA.ORG
For those people who haven't gotten a chance to join this program, Please do not say anything bad and negative to the high ranking official who are taking the high responsibility to do the election progress.

I am the one who used to join this program in year 2009, I felt that I am the luckiest one who could join this elegant program such The ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program which was sponsored by the government of Japan. There are a thousand youths who want to be selected to be Lao representative year by year, therefore they must be competitiveness for sure.
SSEAYP is the best program than ever. Please do not hesitate if you want to know that being Laotian is more value than you used to think.
