In Japan, this kind of game, in other word, it is called "Pachingo" is easily found in almost every corners, and I don't see any bad effect to Japanese culture and their children. They are still smart, and there economy is always strong.
The problem is that we should control not to allow children age under 18 to play. For those who older than that, it is a kind of entertainments, so I don't think it will have any negative images to Lao society.
